Samsung HLN467WX/XAA Picture Freezes15 Aug 2008 05:56 GMT4
I have a Samsung HLN467WX/XAA that the picture freezes to black and white
snow after about 15 minutes of being on.  When it freezes the power,
channel, menu, and volume buttons do not function.  The sound continues to
work, and it will eventually turn off the lamp and allow the ...
RCA PTK-195CA Service Manual15 Aug 2008 02:29 GMT1
This is the same set I posted about before, I fixed the coolant leak but
the set still has some major vertical output problems (probably a result of
the spill), so at this point it's clear I'm going to need the service
manual. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had one they ...
SMPS help needed - Philips VCR15 Aug 2008 00:24 GMT16
I'd be grateful if someone could give me some clues as to where to go
next with a dead Philips VCR (VR750) SMPS.
The PSU died when the mains dropped to 30-60v for about half an hour
(in the UK so it should have been around 230v) before going away

Barely readable LCD14 Aug 2008 22:28 GMT5
Replaced a drive belt in the tape deck of a mini music system, Wharfedale
NE571 , easier said than done. When received, and as used by the owner, the
display is very feint even at the optimum viewing angle. You view it through
a mirror finnish of the cassette carrier flap. All ...
Wavetek 75 (or 75A or 23) Rotary Encoder14 Aug 2008 22:19 GMT17
The rotary encoder in my Wavetek 75 arbitrary waveform generator is
physically broken, and it's impossible to hook anything up to the broken
legs to probe the specs.
I'm totally new to encoders and I'd appreciate if anybody can offer any

Dell W3000 Problem with Power Supply14 Aug 2008 21:23 GMT9
I thought I had repaired this Dell W3000's power supply , but
after about 20-30 minutes the power light goes out (no video or audio)
and the power light comes back on (sound and video returns for a sec.).
IOW, the power goes off and then back on. Over and over again with a few

What If The CD Player Doesn't LIKE The Disc?14 Aug 2008 02:50 GMT15
More CD player shenanigans....
I still haven't gotten round to measuring the voltages in the Audio
Alchemy CD player...but I promise to do so soon!
But in the meantime, I have another question, about another CD
Help fixing AOC Plasma (Samsung board)14 Aug 2008 02:27 GMT6
I need help getting help, finding a replacement board, or even finding
the schematic for an AOC (A42HD84) Plasma tv.  I believe the main
power supply board (Samsung, LJ44-00092C) is the problem.
When I got the TV there was a blown fuse on the board.  See some pics
Toshiba 27A10 Single Horizontal Line13 Aug 2008 16:37 GMT3
8 year old TV.  Nice picture.
Began displaying a brighter line about 5 inches from the bottom
occassionally but the picture was otherwise OK.
I doubted my ability to track that down and let it go.
LCD Monitor: Viewsonic VA520 on the Bench13 Aug 2008 03:22 GMT2
I'm now the proud owner of an unused LCD monitor that won't power up.

After prying open the 12v, 3.8amp box, it appeared that the three-
