Lightning Strikes TV Dead...21 Aug 2008 15:46 GMT14
My elderly mother was watching her TV last week when there was a close
lightning strike and now her TV no longer works. It's a conventional CRT set
only two years old and I was wondering if there was possibly anything simple
to look for or if it's toast. I don't have access to ...
HP4145B floppy problem21 Aug 2008 06:12 GMT2
we have an old HP4145B parameter analyzer sitting around because the
floppy drive is broken and we cannot boot it anymore. If I am correct
it does not have a hard disk, therefore the floppy drive is mandatory.
Since we have another HP4145B that is still in use, I was wondering if

Looking for a never-published schematic for an RCA PHD50500.  It has
trouble on the main power supply, part number 261670.  The board is not
available, and apparently NEVER was??  What has this world come to?  A High
Definition 50-inch THROW-AWAY PLASMA TV?  Yep, apparently.  The ...

Viewsonic PS775 Question20 Aug 2008 01:50 GMT1
I found this Viewsonic PS775 monitor in the to-be-recycled pile at the
office.  All the new monitors are LCDs and the old ones are not
necessarily bad when they get rid of them so I thought I would check
it out as a upgrade to a older (early 90s vintage) PC I use

Samsung TV (MODEL TX62746) problem19 Aug 2008 05:44 GMT3
When you turn the TV on, either manually or by the remote, the TV does
not come on but there is a clicking sound like a relay coming  and
off, or a relay trying to energize but can't. this continues until the
plug is pulled. Any thoughts?
Ultrasonic bath19 Aug 2008 00:36 GMT34
I have a small ultrasonic cleaner. It's frequency is 40kHz, and I want to
increase it to about 50%. I expect about 15W output. Which parts I should
change? I suspect the two blue capacitors, but I'm not sure. My knowledge in
electronics is low.
