Paper Shredder problem with paper detect circuitry18 Jun 2008 11:02 GMT9
I have a Royal 80MX paper shredder that won't shred (go forward), it
goes backwards fine so the motor etc. are working OK. This just
happened suddenly last week. It's as if the paper detection circuit
doesn't recognize paper being inserted. I took it apart and their is a

Bought from the 'E' place for cheap.  Reported symptom: video comes on
and fades out.  Figured it was high ESR smps caps.
Actual symptom: backlight comes on, image consist of random horizontal

I am trying to couple my air conditioner to a blower. I want the
blower to start when the fan in the AC does. It is a 3 speed motor ,
has 5 wires, neuteral and black ( across the AC supply  with an

Hi, I had a loose power socket and superglued it and that lasted just
fine for a few months. Then it went out beyond
an ability to glue it again, but still have a occasional power
connection when moving it. I pulled out the motherboard and the solder

Assuming no one knows of a UK supplier of packs of just these and not
sockets plus nuts. I've run out of salvaged ones to replace the missing ones
from amps, to be repaired for other reasons than just missing nuts, but
cannot return to owners with missing ones.

I have an old Zenith A1920W TV from 1984 that works great except for

Someone wanting a large mixer amp repairing, not seen yet , as left the
owners do do a bit more exploration, as on phone prompting, the problem only
occurs with a feed from a MAC based system, not when instrument feeds only.
Reported as a whirring , booming noise, but not mains hum, ...

I have this keyboard (for  PC), with a strange fault.
you can type normally then after a few seconds it stops responding in

a friend is having problems  with the pump in an outdoor pool.
Apparently the motor ran one day then the next day it would not come

Took apart section by section with bits in separate labelled bags

The dvd-r drive in this unit has gradually stopped playing dvds of any
kind, cds work ok. cleaning has not helped so it looks like terminal
laser failure.
