Sony KV-35S45 Power Supply03 Apr 2008 07:09 GMT3
I acquired this set with a blown HOT and power supply, and
presumably a bad flyback as well. I replaced the flyback, HOT, and a
number of power supply components including the MX0841 IC. Wouldn't
you know it, I had missed a shorted zener in the power supply, and of
RCA HD50LPW175 YX203 Apr 2008 07:07 GMT1
Hi. I have an RCA HD50LPW175 YX2 television. Chassis ATC336. The light
engine circuit board has an intermittent. Flexing it just right,  I
can get the bulb to come on. I have the RCA service manual for it, but
unfortunately, it does not contain a schematic for the board. It says
Using generic power adapter for Wi-Fi accesspoint02 Apr 2008 21:58 GMT5
My Wi-Fi access point (D-Link DWL-700AP) ceased to work, but I found
out what the problem was. The power adapter is dead. However, in my
junkpile I managed to find a generic power adapter from some old
appliance, and it seems to work with the access point.

Pioneer CT-F1250 Half-Working02 Apr 2008 19:25 GMT1
Just bought a Pioneer CT-F1250 off Ebay, I've alway's wanted one.
(Got it cheap for about $150 because of a misspelling in the listing
title)  When I got it, the belts were slipping (not a big deal, those
are easily replaceable).  However, it also seems like none of the EQ's
Arcam Delta 290 amp remote control02 Apr 2008 10:17 GMT5
41 pin 4 wafer motorised function switch is driving me round the twist.
Desoldered from the board and low voltage driving the motor to each of the
six points where the first wafer switch , on in each of 6 positions, the one
with narrow contact areas, is closed at dead centre of each ...
Watts-Up Pro02 Apr 2008 01:44 GMT5
Has anyone bought/used one of these?  They seem to be a neat device to
analyze home device power usage, such as a new refrigerator will take 20
years to pay back the purchase price, regardless of the wife wanting a new
one.  :-)  Any experience out there?
Noisy Space Heater02 Apr 2008 01:32 GMT2
This is perhaps a bit off-topic, but this seemed like the best place
to post this question. I bought a fairly expensive Vornado space
heater, it's a rather nice unit with digital temperature control etc.
but it has a rather annoying flaw. You see, instead of controlling the

LED question01 Apr 2008 01:28 GMT16
A couple months ago I built myself a new computer and for some reason,
the power indicator LED stays on for about 20 seconds (when I first
turn the computer on). After that, it flickers and goes out. I've
hooked it up to 3 different locations on the motherboard and the
