I repaired RCA TV model 14F512T with no vertical deflection problem.  R409

direct replacement (not available).  A "substitute", part number 264870
(STV9302A) was sent, is NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT.  After ...

I'm gradually getting rid of most of my TV parts stock, the business
is now all but dead and I have little if any use for most of my parts.
This spring I'm turning my attention to my CRT stock; I'm anxious to
get rid of them while I can still do so for free. My stock covers

Blu-Ray repair experiences?10 Apr 2008 12:30 GMT8
Does anyone have experience in repairing Blu-Ray disc players?
Would you say that they are, in general, more difficult to repair than
ordinary DVD players?
Are they more prone to tracking problems due to the finer data
DVD player repair accomplished10 Apr 2008 10:24 GMT17
I have just fixed our Apex DVD player that had the No Disk error and
wanted to share the solution as it's generic.
It was at the point of not recognizing any kind of disk that we put
in. Checked all the obvious standard stuff.  Did some searching and
WVP-50N National Colour Video Camera10 Apr 2008 01:50 GMT2
This is something circa 1982. Consisted of a largish, for hand held,
camera and a matching VHS recording pack carried on a shoulder strap. It
ran off a NiCd battery pack. Also came with a mains power station that
could recharge the NiCd pack and distribute the wideo signal

On many occasions, I have said on here that DVD players rarely suffer from
dusty lenses, for the reasons I have also stated. This morning, I had a
Sammy HT-Q20 home cinema rig on the bench that was really struggling to
play. The fan vent on the back panel was full of dust. When I ...
Light bulb power saver09 Apr 2008 22:54 GMT51
Does anyone recall those power saving "discs" for light bulbs they were
selling back during the oil embargo days of the 70's.  The disc was placed
in a standard light bulb fixture and the light bulb was screwed in next.
The disc was nothing more than a diode that "saved energy" ...

HV Power Supply - Test For Ripple09 Apr 2008 15:46 GMT17
I have a high voltage power supply (Swan 117cx) that may be the cause
of high distortion in the radio it supplies power to.  How would I
test for excessive ripple, etc?  The voltages are correct.

cable repair08 Apr 2008 22:56 GMT12
