Intermittent fault in Eizo 19" T766 CRT30 Apr 2008 11:27 GMT46
My 4 or 5 year old Eizo T766 19" CRT began showing an intermittant fault
yesterday. Sometimes the screen contracts a bit and comes back with wrong
colors. An example is that the screen turns very blue, and you can see the
diagonal vertical retrace lines in blue running over the ...
Gateway flatscreen repair29 Apr 2008 21:33 GMT4
This flatscreen model GWT-P42M303 shorted the 15v and I isolated it to
pn 4921QP1002B. There are two of these driver hybrid thingees and one
is shorted but finding parts seems to be a problem. Any ideas?
DTV question..29 Apr 2008 19:33 GMT9
Just upgraded from an old analog tv to a Samsung DTV.  The first
problem I noticed is the lip sync audio-to-video time delay on NBC's
national digital programs.  While analog broadcast has some small time
delay, digital has 2x-3x more delay, making it almost impossible to

Tek TDS 540 problem28 Apr 2008 10:58 GMT3
I just got a used Tektronix TDS 540 o'scope.  I was advised that
these had a huge problem with leaky caps.  Before I had it, it was
explained to me that the panel lights lit up, but the screen didn't
show anything.  In asking the owner of a repair shop what he'd
PC Power supply28 Apr 2008 00:48 GMT10
My son has an E-Machine T3828 that will not power up.  Unfortunately he is
around 100 miles away so I do not have more information. There were no
changes made to the PC that might have caused this.
At first glance it is easy to blame the P/S itself, but a new replacement
spontaneous PC power losses - HELP!27 Apr 2008 22:03 GMT75
I recently installed a DVD drive into my PC. (2 days ago.) Since then,
I get spontaneous power loss periodically - sometimes seconds after
booting, other times after hours of operation. I've tried replacing
the power supply, and I've tried removing all my hardware (other than
TV pincushoining.27 Apr 2008 21:48 GMT6
I have a 10 year old 32" Magnavox that pincushions intermittently.
If you smack the housing it usually has an effect on the condition so
I suspect a connector or other hardware problem.
Before I actually tackle taking this 200 pound TV apart I thought I'd

Repairs to Cotter Pre-amp27 Apr 2008 01:20 GMT2
I have a Cotter Pre-amp circa 1982 that is in need of repair.  The
interlocking push-button switches are failing.  Does anyone know of
either 1) a place that repairs Cotter amps or 2) a supplier of the
switches used in the cotter pre-amp?
