I have a tek 2430 with a non- op trigger. It appears the main micro processors address lines cross talking. No regular supplier has any. The distributor search folks want two arms and three legs for one. Anyone got any ideas?

We have a XD460u front projector that will play all day as long as it is right side up. When it is flipped over, shutdown occurs immediately. I've subbed tach pulses for each fan but the shut down still occurs. Has anyone seen this fault? Thanks. Chuck

I have a four-year old AIWA JAX-S5 stereo (3-cd changer, 2 cassetes, radio, about a $150 unit). I have started getting a distinct whine with most every CD I try to play. It seems to be particularly bad with CDs that seem to be a bit lighter in weight than normal (which is a lot ...

| TDS 220 Backlight Question | 12 Feb 2008 15:11 GMT | 4 |
We have a TDS 220, S/N B070664, with a very dim backlight. It seems stable, just very dim. The inverter measures 201VAC w/ the backlight connected, 205V without. Is it safe to assume the tube is bad? Tektronix charges $73.00 for the part now, as they no longer sell only

I am working on a JVC RX-8010V Receiver. The set powers up for about five seconds and then I hear a relay click and it shuts down. I have changed a few electrolytics here and there with high ESR but the problem persists. I am also working at the moment without a schematic. ...

| Sony 36" TV with impure lower-right corner | 12 Feb 2008 11:36 GMT | 20 |
Because another poster has problems with bad corner purity in a Sony TV, this might be a good time to bring up my related problem. I have a 36" 400-series flat-CRT WEGA. I had no problems with it until a day when a discussion on rec.antiques.radio+phono prompted me to magnetize the

| Disconnecting "big red" from CRT? | 12 Feb 2008 06:47 GMT | 3 |
I have posted about my 32 inch Toshiba TV over the last month or so and I have it torn apart and the circuit board unscrewed. The consensus is that I have bad caps in the vertical section or the IC is bad. I need to get the board all the way out to remove it from the plastic ...
