Just picked up one of these dirt cheap because it wasn't working. Picks up correct cd, chucks it, but cd won't spin. Any tips or repair history before I dig into it.

Electrolytic capacitors sometimes blow up -- due to heat, old age, or lack of use(?). I have some old studio flashes used for photography and they contain some high voltage electrolytic capacitors. I use them once in a long while. But

Some how I lost the URL for the site for HP discontinued product manuals. I just got a dead HP 209A and need to get it going. It appears that one of diodes near Q2 has shorted and toasted 2 or 3 resistors in the same row. Any tips or a scan of the ps board or a manual copy

For those of us who despise miniature Christmas light strings because bulb shunts fail to operate when a bulb burns out, thus causing whole sections of the string go dark, I think I have found the magic solution.
