The problem is that when connected laptop to lcd tv, while laptop
running on ac power, the tv screen flickers. When switched to battery,
screen looks smooth without any issues. Plug in powerd cord again and
the screen starts flickering again.

I got a Sony TC-K590-tape-deck. It seems to work ok, only one thing is
strange. The capstan-motor is running as soon as the deck is powered on.
Even without tape, door open/close doesn't matter. No "need" to press play for
it to start running.

Fairly old unit.  Has 100 channels, search specific range, and weather
channels.
I get NO signals when scanning weather channels.  I do get "white noise"
audio when I back the squelch off, but it doesn't seem to pick up any

Does anyone have any experience in troubleshooting the Marconi TF2370
spectrum analyser.
My unit seems to be nearly working once warmed up, but is suffering with
continuous bursts of noise 'splatter' that come and go.

Just a purely informational request.
I've had this monitor forjust under 3 1/2 years (the warranty was for
3 - damnit :P).  I want to keep it - though I have already purchased
an LCD to replace it, if temporarily.

Hi everyone.  My friends and I got a 35" Proscan TV for free to
replace a broken Zenith 20" CRT (the picture is green and brigher
parts "bleed" over).  I digress...in any case, the Proscan has

So many of these lead failures, not solder problems
There must be a better way - at production, yes, using large diameter hollow
tube "beefings" and larger pcb solder pads and holes.
But retrofit ?

This is an open letter to Ron paul, but it is also to everybody.
The point I would like to illuminate is not really complicated, but it
is heavy, very much so.

I've got a mobo where the led comes on when the power supply is
connected but powering on does absolutely nothing. I've even tried
shorting the power button pins to rule out power button problem but
still nothing.

This is a nice portable DVD player/LCD monitor.  When I first got it with
a known sound problem, it worked fine.  Then within 10 minutes, the sound
had become very noisy, and then disappeared entirely.  It is now completely
silent.  Headphone disconnect contacts have been exercised ...

OK you know me, but this is really how it is. I got paid quite a bit
yesterday to just push buttons. Perhaps they are really paying for

I have a mitsubishi ws-48313 48" tv that only has the power light come
on when plugged in.  I figured it was the common dm module capicator
problem.  Turn's out it has no dm module so thats not it.  I used my
cap checker and have found no bad caps yet.  Also checked all the
