stereo microscope to do SMT?02 Jun 2007 19:04 GMT18
Do I need a "stereo microscope" to do SMT? Or will a good lighted
magnifing  lens do it for an occasional MSOP-8 install? If a
microscope will one of those "school lab" $75.00 ones work? Thanks All
for your time.  Wayne
samsung txn3245fp service manual wanted02 Jun 2007 17:22 GMT1
I'm desperate.  I have a three year old Samsung 32" that has crapped
out on me.  There is no tv service shop where I live and I'd hate to
give up on this tv.  I called Samsung and got no help except for them
to tell me I could take it to a place about 3 hours from where I live.
Extra battery wire in UPS.  Voltage-sense?  or what?02 Jun 2007 17:17 GMT3
I'm replacing the batteries (2 x 12V, in series) in a Best power supply from
the early 1990s.
Obviously, I have a negative lead, a jumper to put the two batteries in
series, and a positive lead.

Hello. I had the back off my 27" JVC TV and when I put it back on and
plug it in it shows "video" and neither the remote or the TV will
work. It's a good TV and I wish there was something simple I could do
to fix it (blown fuse?). Can anyone help? TIA Craig

Best chemical for removing flux residue?02 Jun 2007 02:53 GMT18
When repairing circuitry, its often tricky to remove flux residues
from the PCB after rework.
The flux remover spray I find locally in my area doesnt seem to be
very effective.

stereo amp cleaning01 Jun 2007 17:28 GMT58
I have a mid-80's HK integrated amp (PM-650).  It's been very reliable and
sounds good, but there are a few things that have been bugging me:
1.  The output of L & R channels are not equal... the left channel is louder
for any given source.  It's in the pre-amp section, because I ...
SMT Operator01 Jun 2007 16:34 GMT2
Hi, Anybody here been or know what being an SMT operator in a factory
setting is about?  I have much experience with through hole soldering
in a repair shop, but have never worked in a board factory.  Think any
of my experience in repair would be of use there?  Thanks if you are
Panasonic CT-27G31U01 Jun 2007 12:41 GMT3
I'm trying to troubleshoot a power supply problem in a Panasonic CT-27G31U
chassis. The set won't start and I get a high pitched squeal after the
"Power" button is pressed which remains until you unplug the set.
Does anyone have a schematic that could provide the power supply ...
