I have an 11 year old Magic Chef top-loading washing machine that suddenly
won't work. It worked yesterday when I washed a small load. Today, it filled
up with water just fine, then when it was to start agitating, it did so
after a long pause. Then it agitated for about 5 seconds, ...

I have recently acquired this faulty radio and can find no information

When the UPS turns itself on and off all of the sudden a few times then
shuts off and beeps, is this a sign that the battery needs to be replaced?
It is about 2 years old.

I have an "older" Sony CDP c505 5 disc player that has sound problems
as you go past track 3 or 4 (or to the outer edge of the CD itself) it
is kind of like cutting in and out and distortion ? Any adjustements I
can  do to make this go away?

My dishwasher has the first light flashing and the drain(?) pump run
continuously.
Turning it off  and on again doesnt fix it.

I am looking at replacing the belts on this early 80s VZ-3000 vertical
turntable; looks like it is going to be no picnic. The whole deck is
buried below masses of plastic mountings and circuitry. Was wondering
if any brave soul has already successfully performed this operation

a very basic question...I lack electronics background.
I intentionally cut a wire. DC    5V and <= 2A.
I want to add connectors to each end so that I can plug and unplug the
wire together.
