Monitor with slanting lines22 Sep 2006 16:39 GMT1
I have an older Trinitron computer monitor which has recently started
displaying one-pixel wide slanted pairs of blue and red lines.  The
paired lines slant up, left to right, with the left end of one set
level with the right end of the next lower pair.  The pairs are spaced

RX-V975A no display, relay clicks, & shuts down. Very hard unit to work
on. You have to
scrap these units, just to solder a few bad connections. Can't find
anything online.

I have on the bench a Sony HCD-RX33 that is a 1998 production mini
bookshelf system with the 3 tray carousel at the top. After replacing
one of the clamper gears I can't seem to get it to do anything other
than spin the carousel. No matter what position I choose for the thing

This set has some (1/2 inch) retrace lines at the top of the CRT. From
the center down there is no vertical deflection. I've changed some
capacitors in the vertical along with the vertical output IC (LA7845)
and have the same problem. All low value resistors in Vertical look

I need to know what kind of diode is an smd, mini-melf case, glass
diode with black white and green
color rings on it. I've tried to find a color code on the web but seems
like these diodes aren't so common.

Gets warm and sometimes flimmers; little lines appear on the screen but does
not look like a screen problem.

I have an old Morse brand FM stereo / phonograph unit (model 74452 for
the extra-curious). The volume crackles horribly when I turn it up and
down. I have the pot half-disassembled and half-disconnected.

I have a 1999 vintage RPTV (60"),9P6031C, model that needs coolant in
all tubes replaced.  I'm experienced in all aspects of TV repair except
for coolant replacement, which I have never done.  The coolant housing

I am trying to repair a 19" Samsung 191T monitor that appears to have
been damaged due to a storm-related power surge over the weekend.
The problem with the monitor is clearly related to the backlight: the
