Princeton Monitor problems at lower resolutions27 Sep 2006 14:09 GMT2
I just inherited an 8 year old Princeton 21 inch crt monitor, model
eo2010.  At resolutions of 1024x768 and above, it works great.
However, at 640x480 or 800x600, the left and right edges of the picture
are compressed.  The on-screen monitor controls don't fix the problem.

I have seen multiple complaints of the Dell P780 standby problem but
have not seen the fix for this problem.  Again, the set turns on for a
while (HV present) then goes to standby, blinking amber LED.  Does
anyone have a fix for it?  Please post!  Thanks!

Chip pin plating27 Sep 2006 08:43 GMT2
I repaired a PC motherboard that was damaged by something that dragged over
the surface.  A QFP's pins were bent sideways and shorted together.  I bent
them back with a dental pick and reflowed the solder, and the board works
now.

Was wondering if anyone had a USER manual for the above model... I was given
one which eats tapes... I don't really need another VCR but I DO need an
input-switching RF modulator to run my DVD player to an old set with type F
connector.

Hi, I have a Sony KV-24FS100, Chassis BA6 TV that I am repairing.  The SMPS is not working, R640 is gone and there seems like no drive from IC600.  What I need to know is the value of R640 as it is burnt.  (Any other troubleshooting advice on this model would help.

Sony CD player CDP-H6600 problem26 Sep 2006 02:11 GMT1
I have a problem with my Sony CD player model CDP-H6600. It now often
indicates
"no disc" even when there is one. Switching on sometimes causes a rattling
noise, which appears to be the laser-lens moving up and down.

I got this in, and someone else had attempted to repair it, the other guy
