A friend just gave us a Mitsubishi big screen tv.  we can't get the
blue to converge and the top of the screen looks droopy.  we don't have
a manual or a remote but would like to use the tv.  Now we know why
they gave it to us.

Guys: 13 Year old unit, has the infamous delay start-up problem. Wil
come on after unplugging for one or two minutes. Where is this SMP

My in-laws have a Panasonic PV-D4734S DVD/VCR.  Was working fine, but
just quit.  I opened it up, and the fuse was blown.  I replaced the
fuse, it doesn't blow now, but neither will the unit power up.  I've
measured 110VAC as far as the fuse, but no further.

Is there a way to detect where a break has occurred in an audi
interconnect cable?
I tried conecting one end to a 1KHz signal generator and attempting t

I have a Technics SA-GX500 receiver that stopped working -- turns out

this AV reciever is giving me intermitent video problems. both S-vhs & Composite.
gets Real bright and tearing on ANY video source, cable, vcr, dvd etc.

I'm repairing a Hotpoint gas dryer, model number, NBXR463GB0WW. The
flame detector switch is bad. This dryer might have been previously

Hi all,
I have a 3 year old Apex GB-4308 projection TV...  I got it super cheap,
but the warranty ran out after 2 years.
A few days ago it seems to have developed some problems (pic here:

HP laptop, about 3 years old.  The fan has always tended to run a lot --  
somewhat noisily, not squealing or rattling, just with air flow noise.  What
should I check?

JVC 3 disc CD mini stereo model:CA-MXK6,year:June 2001,CSA File
No:LR38329 (Samsung),some days no CD play (cd spins and laser eye moves
up & down 3 or 4 times) then moves to next CD and same thing while
other days unit works fine.I cleaned the laser pickup but still.

Just a newbie searching for some answers. I have a brand new UPS - came
4 days ago. No name brand, bought to survive 3 second power failures.
650 VA, 390 Watts. The comp has a 400 Watt power supply and there was
nothing else on the UPS. Don't expect it to be a full load situation.
