Denon AVR-1804 zone2 preout question.31 Aug 2006 16:35 GMT2
An a/v installer brought this Denon AVR-1804 receiver in to me with the
following complaint. When using the zone2 line out connections, the
volume all of sudden became a fixed line output instead of a variable
line out. You can see the numeric level display change up and down when
All of a sudden both Remote controls don't work for tv? fine for DVD31 Aug 2006 07:58 GMT3
I have two remote controls one rca for my Proscan (RCA) 27" tv, and one for
my Panasonic DVD player/recorder.   My DVD player is able to control the
basics of my TV operation too, even will turn on the power to the TV (no
programming required).    But now all of a sudden they both ...
Why would pins 3 & 100 on a DDR DIMM fry?31 Aug 2006 03:07 GMT14
I may post the long story later, but the short story is that I have
a motherboard and a DDR DIMM where pins 3 and 100 on the DIMM and
the corresponding socket are toast.  The gold on the DIMM contacts
is completely gone, and the socket is charred in those positions.

I am pretty good but my washing machine just completely dead30 Aug 2006 23:09 GMT14
My washing machine makes no noise or anything.  I tested these things.
I checked the power cord with load to where it end in the timer area.
I checked to see if the faucets are on.  It is a machine that will fill
even if the lid is open.  I open the back and the wiring looked clean
It seems things are cheaper now but also cheaply made, am I paraniod?30 Aug 2006 23:07 GMT25
I always wondered why I run into people who have some machine or
electronics that seem to last forever.  What was worst that I never had
a story like that nor could I find a particular brand to buy and have a
story one day.  I now figured it out to be a "catch 22" situation.
Hitachi TV fault.  Model no:  C1405T-311 Colour TV30 Aug 2006 21:18 GMT1
Model no:  C1405T-311 Colour TV
The set works perfectly except for the volume control.
The volume was turned down to zero using the remote.  When the increase
volume button is pressed on the remote or the button on the set,  the
120VAC  15A motor won't spin up to speed30 Aug 2006 19:47 GMT14
I have a 120VAC 15A electric motor that is on an aircompressor that I found.
I plugged it in and the motor starts to spin slowly but never gets going
fast then trips the circuit breaker.
It spins eaisly by hand and the bearings seem to be okay. Does it probably
Magnavox stereo problem30 Aug 2006 18:01 GMT6
I've got a fairly recent (maybe within ten years or so) Magnavox stereo.
All that's wrong with it is no panel display.  I have disassembled it,
and ignoring my chagrin at being faced with such a poorly designed item,
it appears that the problem is NOT lamps.

Missing soldering iron screw30 Aug 2006 14:36 GMT8

soldering iron. Do you have any idea where I might replace this?
Thanks,
