Sharp DLP Projector: Power light flashing31 Jul 2006 23:42 GMT2
I have a Sharp PG-M25X DLP projector that is completely dead apart
from the power LED which flashes red approximately once a second.  The
lamp and temp lights are both off.  I've checked it over for obvious
problems.  It doesn't respond to any buttons on the projector, or
Panasonic 28in television "afterglow" image31 Jul 2006 19:45 GMT2
Here is a strange one.  The only similar issue I can find is the
"afterglow" effect mentioned on older RCA televisions.  Anyway, I have
a Panasonic 28" TV.  It is quite a few years old.  Sometimes (50%+),
after turning it off, the video image still appears on the screen (in
RCA CTC169CF5 power problem31 Jul 2006 18:45 GMT3
I did some research and don't see where this chassis had the tuner
solder problems as others. The set was intermittent on powering up and
now won't power up. A previous post on this particular set was
stretched width and no adjustment control, and this could lead to more

Reconnecting lots of fine leads ...31 Jul 2006 09:23 GMT4
I have a laptop (an Apple Powerbook G4 17 inch) where the keyboard is not
working right. It seems the owner dropped it and the connector that
accepts the ribbon cable from the keyboard has come a little loose. The
connector has 40 very fine leads, closely spaced, that are surface ...
Sony Vega LCD bigscreen 6 red flashes - fix31 Jul 2006 02:29 GMT3
Hi. Here is a fix for you if you haven't seen it before. I know the pros
have so this might help some of the smaller shops that don't get these big
Sony lcd sets every day. This fixes the Sony Grand Vega lcd. I don't
remember the exact model number but should cover many of them.
JVC TV C-2018, add channels to memory31 Jul 2006 00:18 GMT2
This TV came in for an intermittent problem traced to bad joints at the
degauss thermistor.
However, while checking out the functions, I noticed that it skipped several
channels, and all those between 46 and 61 (cable).  I don't have the remote.

It hasn't gone kablooie yet, but the fan in my Toshiba Satellite
A15-S129 has started making a buzzing noise.  Before it goes, I'd like
to know, can I buy this part, and how hard is it to replace?
Panasonic Razor Impossible to Fix?30 Jul 2006 17:24 GMT2
Hello Group,
I previously posted a question about opening an ES8092 so as
to replace the batteries. The only reply I got stated that this is not
possible without breaking the sideburns trimmer. My question this time
Focus adjustment on a Tek 2235 CRO30 Jul 2006 16:32 GMT17
I'm finding that my elderly Tek 2235 CRO (a very nice 100MHz
Dual-trace) can't focus the spot any smaller than about a millimetre
in diameter, & that is at the the extreme anti-clockwise setting of
the front panel focus control. Turning the control clockwise can
Frost free fridge freezer: where is it??30 Jul 2006 13:58 GMT14
Where is the defrost timer on a Hotpoint FF08P frost free fridge
freezer? I've looked everywhere but cant find it.
There is a 'Hotpoint Defrost stat & Fuse N1548' with 4 wires, but
presumably that ends the defrost cycle rather than initiates it, since

So I would be grateful if some one could post a copy of the schematic
