I'm working on an RCA 52" Model P52830BL, Chassis PTK195DB. Came in
with a blown main fuse, an obvious burnt R19233 and no convergence

I am attempting to repair for personal satisfaction an old portable
1979-80 TV.
The problem I have is no picture, no sound and a pulsating power noise.

This may sound like a tough question, but it probably isn't. The unit in
question is an Infiniti SM785 monitor (17", 1996). I acquired this years ago
and obviously attempted a repair, because I left a large TO-3P transistor
(Q604) removed from the circuit, and of course it is ...

Personally I cannot repair stuff working with schematics on pc screens.
I can only use bits of paper where a physical magnifying glass actually
works, unlike the usual PDF/virtual, joke magnifying glasses.
Other than magnifying the perfectly readable pc image before printing off on

 My brother has an older TV set , the unit is Cable ready but no line level
audio output , he uses the TV without a cable box or VCR , no easy way to
hook up an external speaker , could simply run a wire out of his set to
