| Need opinion, TV repair worth it? | 11 Apr 2006 05:37 GMT | 6 |
I have a 7 year old 32" Sony Trinitron TV that just took a dump. The TV itself turns on, but the tube is obviously not getting power. There's no image whatsoever, and there's no trademark "buzz" when first powering it on.

Way back in the 1950's, Waterman came out with a scope, mil version was the AN/USM-24C. A mediocre scope- AC coupled only, 5MHz bandwidth, poor triggering, but it did have one really neat feature-- selectable 100/10/1/.5/.2 microsecond intensity markers. They made risetime

This Grundig TV set shows the red LED when powered on through its mainswitch. At a 1Hz rate one can tell that the supply is trying to do something. Commanding the set thru the REMCO does not work either. I removed its chassis and tried to diagnose the problem.
