I have an ACER model #7278C computer monitor. When it is powered up,
the screen appears to only scan the lower half of the screen. There is
a bright line accross the middle section of the screen. below that
line, it looks OK, the top half is black. The video appears to be cut

My Yamaha reciever was working fine for years.
Then I connected a turntable to the phono jack.
The turntable works, the sound comes out, but within a few minutes the
reciever completely shuts off.

KV27TS27. Refuses to quit, but now it has gone through another CRT and
SBX1437. I do not want to put the fourth CRT into a set this old. Damn
thing won't quit though.

I have a requirement to connect & record the audio output from a PA
amplifier (using the TAPE OUT jack) onto a standard VCR (using the AV
input jacks). I have tried just connecting it up and it records but has
a very low volume when watched on a TV.

My model is SL-PD687 but any of them in that series would likely work.

I have a Sony XBR that is approximately 6 years old.  When is has been
off for several hours (overnight, during work hours etc) and I turn it
on, it makes the normal hissing/buzzing noise like it is about to come
on then immediately clicks and goes off without ever getting a picture ...

I'm restoring a 1959 Bush TR82D.  Unfortunately the case rear cover is badly
damaged.
Does anyone have a scrap set they would like to dispose of?

Yeah I know I'm going to get flamed for this but that doesn't matter to me.
I think if I charge a customer $20 or whatever to tell him that a unit is
not worth repairing he probably won't bring anything else in after that. If
I do a free estimate it's more likely he/she will bring ...
