I have an ACER model #7278C computer monitor. When it is powered up,
the screen appears to only scan the lower half of the screen. There is

Need help sourcing a replacement rotary potentiometer for a regulation

My Yamaha reciever was working fine for years.
Then I connected a turntable to the phono jack.
The turntable works, the sound comes out, but within a few minutes the
reciever completely shuts off.

I have a requirement to connect & record the audio output from a PA
amplifier (using the TAPE OUT jack) onto a standard VCR (using the AV

I have a Sony XBR that is approximately 6 years old.  When is has been
off for several hours (overnight, during work hours etc) and I turn it
on, it makes the normal hissing/buzzing noise like it is about to come
on then immediately clicks and goes off without ever getting a picture ...

Yeah I know I'm going to get flamed for this but that doesn't matter to me.
I think if I charge a customer $20 or whatever to tell him that a unit is
not worth repairing he probably won't bring anything else in after that. If
I do a free estimate it's more likely he/she will bring ...
