This set has a SCC-S47B chassis, odd symptoms in that when powered up
there is no HV, however when turned off the HV spikes to several KV for
just a moment as the thing is turning off. No diagnostic codes are

Hi all. The other week I gave the A channel of my scope a voltage spike
it didn't like and soooo I gotta fix it :rolleyes: Among other things
there is a source follower FET in the input stage right after the
attenuator. It has written on it "304" then underneath that, "E  5M".

Has anyone heard of similar problems to the following or have ideas of

I Just bought an fm transmitter and since i hate the stupid plug and
all the wires i hard wired it to the car. first is this safe? also my
power supply to the transmitter is always on even when the key is out.

dislodged a surface
mount resistor when I removed the bottom tuner shield for resoldering
