Resistor Value Change20 Feb 2006 21:23 GMT8
This is an electronic question, it is related to a security panel and the
End Of Line Resistor.  For those that do not know the EOLR is a resistor
that in placed within the protected loop to provide a small amount of
current to flow and thus supervises the loop.  If the loop is ...

Bosch WOH5710 Washing machine20 Feb 2006 18:04 GMT4
This washer worked fine today, however I had the idea it took a rather long
dry spin cycle. During my second laundry load it took the water, but the
machine failed to spin, it cycled the rinse periods Ok but it never turned
the drum.

Tektronix 585a (tube-based) oscilloscope project20 Feb 2006 10:14 GMT7
Does anyone have an old Tektronix scope similar to this?  I just got it
from a surplus dump where it has been sitting in an unheated shed for a
few years.  The tubes light up, and it gets a spot on the screen, but
the trace doesn't move at all, no matter what the settings are.  I ...

Need help with ctc169. High voltage at B+20 Feb 2006 03:44 GMT10
TV will not power on. First disconnected red HV to splitter and tried
to power on. No luck. Next checked HOT for short, none found. Checked
voltage at collector of hot. Voltage shot up to 220 volts and then
trickled down to zero. The set does make a chirp sound when first
JVC TV AV32720 power supply problem20 Feb 2006 03:42 GMT1
I have sound but no picture because I have no HV. I have no HV because
I have no B+. I measured for B+ with collector of HOT disconnected but
found none. No fuses or bad parts found - except for C523 1uf/160v.
All other caps check ok. This set uses STR S5708 for regulation. Is it
Samsung SCX-4100 printer fuser - repairable?20 Feb 2006 00:55 GMT1
Fuser failed on this cheap laser printer. Being a "fix it rather than add to
the land fill" kinda' guy, I'm exploring if it's possible.
I've priced the new fuser assembly, and it's nearing the price of a new
printer (surprise!), so that possibility is ruled out immediately.
Tektronix TDS340, hard to turn on?19 Feb 2006 21:54 GMT7
Hi, I just bought this tek and while it passes all the selftests,
it's really flaky at startup.
When you press the on/stby button the lights blink once , you can hear some
relays switching and it goes dead.
Toshiba 1135 Laptop needs new USB19 Feb 2006 21:47 GMT3
Does anyone know of a source for exact replacement USB jacks for this
laptop? The spring contacts are badly worn or sprung. I see that Allied
has a listing from Keystone in which they look similar from the outside
view. Any thoughts or sources? Thanks, Jeff
