Model 2400 low flat receiver . It powers on like its supposed to but has no sound . The volume lights work properly . Other problem is it wont turn off when i touch the off button , it has to be unplugged . So far i have taken off all the covers and replaced any burned out bulbs

I have a 3rdG ipod 15GB; all of a sudden it stopped working. I get the folder error message and the battery gets hot when I try to charge it. I changed the battery to a new one; it didn't make a difference. Does anybody know what's wrong or how to fix this problem?
