I have two Timex watches whose alarms have quit working after I changed the
battery. Both are plain, cheap digital units, both with the "Expedition"
name. One is only about 3 years old (an "iControl" model), the other perhaps
8-10 years old. The watches seem to function fine ...

Videotape Chewed/Snapped09 Feb 2006 12:28 GMT10
I put my videotape in the VCR and as I tried to take it out, it would

I really need the tape.  Can I repair it myself or do I need someone ...

about 1 month ago I've notice few very little black spots on my L

WTB: 1.5kOhm 0.5W carbon composition resistor09 Feb 2006 10:20 GMT1
Anyone in the UK got one of these - I'll happily pay a reasonable charge for

It *must* be carbon composition or carbon ceramic, as it is being used in a
circuit with high pulse currents which would destroy a film resistor.
Tascam 388 combined reel to reel and 8 track mixer09 Feb 2006 08:46 GMT2
Before someone brings this 80 lbs weight  .84x.22x.64 metre piece of kit

a straightforward job, and how,  for the owner to remove the large and heavy
glass top for him to leave at home ?

I unplugged my ipod while it was in "Disk Mode" and the screen said "Do
Not Disconnect". Now I can't get my PC to recognize it. I may have
damaged the hard drive. I ran a hard drive test and it failed. It is
hard for me to believe that what I did could have damaged the ipod

Mitsubishi 91TXM monitor - no picture09 Feb 2006 03:21 GMT1
Is anyone familiar with these older Diamond Pro monitors from
Mitsubishi? This one had about nine years of excellent use until I
powered it on one day. There was a little "pop" and a small dot of
intense white light appeared at the center of the display. The light
