i am a bit confused about contact cleaner.
what does contact cleaner do to electrical surfaces?
how does it clean connector edges better than just wiping them off with
a rag?

I found the two power supply transistors, the 2SC4834's, Q601 and Q602
shorted, and the HOT  Q502, the 2SC5148 shorted also. The fuse resistor
R607 was open as well. I pulled VDR601 and did not read any leakage

Just got for free a super Sony KV 2032 ME television, in pristine
(outside) condition but I have a little problem...

Got an old Kenwood tuner model KT-42B. After using it for severals
hours, it won't turn on again. Only one of the 'memory' LEDs lights up
but the flourescent display is off. Tried to resolder every joint

Anyone know if the common LORAN sets found in many small aircraft are
readily useable in boats?
I have no idea what voltage small planes use.  Most boats have 12v available
to hook to.

I got a sony CPD-E220 Monitor.You might know sony doesn't even car
on crt monitors.My monitor does'nt work,when it boots it shuts dow
itself(tik sound heared) and the led changes to amber.so i took to
