Tip;
Look for damage wherever glue was used.
This set had the wires in a couple of ribbon cables
eaten away where they were glued to the PCB's

I have a Mitsubishi VS-60803 CRT Rear Projection HDTV unit.  It has this
problem where when it powers on, the green power light flashes on, then
shuts off half a second later.  No image appears on the screen.  There are

I just fixed this Mitsu CS-3506 in a trade deal with
a friend of mine. Crikey after replacing every
Nichicon black cap with a " + "  stamped into the
top of the can and also hours of reworking electrolyte

the left channel on this amp sounds distorted at lower volume and cuts
out at med to high volume.
i tried swapping the speakers but its definitely the amp

I`ve a vcr Samsung sv-651x and it turns crazy (it doesn´t work) I need to
enter memory to restore the codes, but dont know how to... i
think that is somethink like hold the DUB button and then other but i dont
know...

I have a Panasonic PV-D4744S  VCR/DVD player combo, no service manual.  Can
anyone tell me if this unit has an internal video level adjustment?  The video,
as taken from any of the rear panel video connections, appears darker than
normal.  

Does anyone possess a user or service manual or schematic of the subj.?

This is a general question about the use of isolation transformers for
probing ac powered circuits.  The circuit in question is from the

 I have an Orion TV model STV2763 (mfg 11/02) in my shop
that is "dead".   No blown fuse or shorted H.O.T.  I checked
the loads on the Reg outputs and found no shorts.  I scoped
the reg B+ line and plugged in the TV.  The B+ would "shoot"

My harmon kardon AVR630 surround amp had developed a fault. The unit
got very hot and the fan came on for the first time ever. ( ive had
the amp for over a year )
After unpluging it and leaving it to cool down it will now power on

I have an old camcorder, Sony Video 8 model CCD-TR45E.
Most of the time, I use it as a camera, not as a recorder. Sinse some
time, I have a strange effect. When the button is shifted to 'player',
the tape can be played and can be seen in the viewfinder, no problem.

Hi, I'm looking for someone to help me with a VM-E530A.  If you insert
a tape, it loads fine, it ejects fine.  The cylinder motor or the
capstan motor does not start.  The tape is in the cassette just sitting
in the basket.  TAPE flashes in the VF.  Any help is greatly
