Speaker buzz from reciever..not ground loop.11 Jul 2005 23:41 GMT12
I have buzzing from all speakers from a Harmon Kardon 435 reciever even with
all inputs and outputs disconnected except the speakers.
I also switched off all breakers in my house electrical main panel and
dissconnected all the ground wires from the main pane as a test. Is this

I am repairing Thermo Orion 525A pH-meter with a VF-Display.
It looks like there is a short in the DC-DC converter module.
The module is made by CET Technologies, model CT-1058.
I am unable to find info about it on their website and they do

My trusty 18 year old GE just shot craps. It beeps and junk on the display
and I also found a reference to my problem in the EURAS database, but they
want me to pay for the info. It beeps and kinda freaks out. The boards in it
appear fine, no cold solder joints or burned ...

Hi folks...this was in a baseball newsgroup that I participate in
(rec.sport.baseball). Faraday cages have been mentioned, implying that
it could be safe. I don't know that I'd trust this against lightning
(maybe a Van de Graff generator). What do you think?

My  Sony TV KP53V85 is not responding to the sony remote RM-Y905.  I
tried the following to troubleshoot the problem without any luck.
1. Replaced batteries in the Remote
2. Powered the TV down for 1 hour

but cannot store the setting as a channel number.
