Hi. Got a Mits CS35301 here. IC401 Vert chip smoked, LA78??      I don't
want to sub the wrong one in it. Also R9610 on PS board, drives the chip, is
open. All markings faded fully away. Any assist very appreciated.

I have a Panasonic PV-V4521 VCR that recently caused a tape to pucker
along the bottom edge, even though the capstan washer hadn't ridden up
the shaft and the tape didn't seem to ride too low in the groove around
the stationary drum (bright reflection when flashlight shined on it).

After power surge, 1.6 amp main fuse blown, replacment blows after power
button is pressed and power relay closes. Request source for schematic or
service manual, plus any service tips from those who have seen these items.
