I've seen a this type of problem in the circuit boards of other
Tektronix equipment, this time it's afflicting two of my DM44s.
The problem is semiconductive and resides within the glass composite
of the board itself. I have identified two 1-5 megOhm instances or

quite thoroughly fried.

distortion and I fixed it with your help!
Now, that I gained a little confidence, I wonder if I should tackle
another issue I have in this TV set.

Ideas wanted for Go-kart15 Jul 2005 16:06 GMT13
I did some searching in the news groups but didnt quite find what I was
looking for.  I would like a project for me and my 10 year old son,

CRT image shrinks and grows with changes to brightness15 Jul 2005 13:13 GMT4
I have a 7-year-old 15" CRT monitor that is connected to a standard PC.
Lately I noticed that the size of the monitor's onscreen image is
affected by changes to the image's brightness (the brighter the wider).
For example, my Desktop background is dark. If I click to maximize a

Now the other small issue is when text appears on the screen its a bit
Zenith 9-1270 Keeps Blowing FX3403 After Installing Kit15 Jul 2005 02:39 GMT1

Equivalent capacitor14 Jul 2005 21:56 GMT13
I need an electrolytic capacitor, 100V/35uF. I don't have one right

capacity should be 34uF, and since they are in series, the maximum
voltage 100V.
