HP-5341A manuals21 Mar 2005 16:59 GMT1
I got recently a (very) used HP-5341A frequency counter and it seems to have

working good and also the internal 1 GHz source is ...

My ProView flat screen LCD monitor suddenly went black.  It is powered with

power---maybe???  However, switching it on and off has no effect---still a
black screen.

Any experience with tape chewing on Hitachi FX623A?  I have read the
newsgroup tried to open the transport assembly.  I have located the
problem to a probably gear mechanism under the forward spool.  In order
to get to the assembly I think you have to dissassemble a bunch of

Panasonic DVD Spindle Motor21 Mar 2005 05:31 GMT1
Does anyone have a good spindle motor, from any Panasonic or Toshiba DVD
(or DVD/VCR combo), made in 2002? I think it's a 12-V type, and I'm pretty
sure they're all the same. The exact unit is Toshiba, with a chassis
identical to the Panasonic PV-D1734S.

Worth trying to repair X-10 modules?21 Mar 2005 03:48 GMT8
I bought the big 12-pack of module a few years back when
I went X-10 in my house. Since then I've had several failures,
especially in the appliance modules and the light switch
modules. Take the light switch module for instance. Typically
WTD:  Specs on M72 cell (battery)21 Mar 2005 00:01 GMT4
This (or these?) was used in the General Radio 1232-A tuned amplifier.
The holder is a cylindrical tube and the battery or cells are slid into
it to contact a strip for + on one end......pretty much similar looking
to what would take D-cell's except only slightly smaller O.D.
