I want to build a timer, limited to 5 hrs, for my NiCad charger which runs
on 120VAC.  I understand that a 555 IC and a properly sized capacitor and
resistor will provide the timing. How do I connect this to AC? Relay? Anyone
have a schematic? Maybe it would be easier to build a ...

What is the best way to resurrect an IC that has had a couple of legs
broken off, but is otherwise working? I am talking about a regular DIP
IC here, an old computer custom chip which is rare to find now. 2 legs
have been broken off at the root, so you can barely see some metal

A friend gave me a JVC GZ-S3 camera and I want to use it with my VCR.
This camera has a 10-pin connector to its power supply and VCR.
Unfortunately, I don't have any of the original units, so I cannot do
anything with the camera.

Hi. This is on a Gateway Essential, 950 Mhz Celeron, FlexATX, mfg date in
fall of '91. The Power Supply is SFX, Gateway's part# is 6500545, 90W.
(AKA Newton NPS-145PB-117 A Rev 03).
The computer would start but then go only into standby mode (with the

I have this panasonic chassis in viewsonic G810 monitor (21VS001) with
customer's complaint of no picture, no raster.  Pulses is present in
flyback but G2 isn't holding up.  The instant i touch this with dmm on
voltage, it registers like more than 200V then falls off.
