Posted this earlier! M # 24AF43. Plug in,

pix (basically no video), no sound, channels do
change! Looks like the common "prima 20" T.V.

DVD player doesn't12 Jan 2005 09:02 GMT3
Suddenly my DVD player (actually a combined DVD/VCR unit, the Philips
DVD757R) will no longer play DVDs. Just shows the 'Loading' message.
Occasionally spits out the CD, declaring it unplayable. This with
several known good DVDs.

Philips 27" 27RF50S - no picture, smoked from back - it's toast, yes?12 Jan 2005 04:51 GMT2
Sheesh. Weirdest thing just happened on a < 2 year old Philips
(RealFLat 27RF50S).  Was working.  Left room.  Come back 5 minutes
later and it's turned off.  Attempted power-up.  Made sound like it was
trying to cycle up - a clicking, maybe a couple times a second.  Tried
New Bright Remote Control 49.86 MHz12 Jan 2005 04:35 GMT2
I have a heartbroken 3 year old because his remote control stopped
working for his dump truck and excavator.  I contacted New Bright and
they no longer have these and told me to try E-bay.  I have been
watching since October and haven't found anything.  Any suggestions?
Acer 7299SL flyback12 Jan 2005 03:43 GMT2
I've got an Acer 7299SL monitor which is arcing in the CRT socket. Pulled
the focus leads from the socket and they're over 20KV, HV at the CRT is
around 24KV which seems pretty normal. Flyback is arcing slightly internally
so obviously shot. Anyone have a good used one or know where ...
CTC169 HOT FAILURE12 Jan 2005 00:58 GMT10
I'm working on a 52" projection tv. Started out as a dead set. I replaced
the shorted HOT, and the standby B+ came up to 146 vdc. The chassis ran
for about 10 minutes, then I heard a pop, and it went back to a dead set
condition. The new Horiz Out Xistor probably shorted, but any ...
