I'm trying to repair a Ferguson TX100 chassis T.V. I have looked a various T.V repair help sites but cannot determine what the fault is? The T.V just suddenly went dead while it was on. The standby light i off but it seems that there is power going to the CRT heater.

I was troubleshooting a bright blue picture with retrace lines. I opened up the back, and I noticed that if I put a very slight pressure on a vertical board (using a wooden stick,), the problem corrected itself.

Is S-video the same as regular video and left and right audio (such as feeds a tv monitor, via RCA plugs), but just combined so it all fits in one connector? Or is it electrically different from that? There are several reasons I would benefit from understanding this.
