I have a Viesonic PS790 monitor On the base of the mainboard in the rear is a 4 pin plug like the audio plug used to connect CD-ROM audio to motherboard. It is hidden behind a small breakout in the shell. I am curious as to what it is.

I recently heard that alkalines batteries are much better than heavy duty batteries.They say that they last longer.Is there truth to this? I have tried to experiment with this and it does seem to be true.Just wondering what you all have to say.
