I was wondering if someone can explain how a 3-way pickup selector (or toggle switch) work on a electric guitar (with 2 humbucker pickups)? Are there any web sites explaining with diagrams how they work? I wanted a way of comparing to see if my 3-way toggle switch was working

set came in dead...Q4114 was shorted...replace with kit 231523,set now power up and stays on for about minute then shuts down.relay clicks twice.any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

I just picked up a used guitar amplifier. One of the pots was a little bit noisy, so I opened it up and sprayed all of the pots with DeoxIt D5 contact cleaner. When I tried out the amp afterwards, all of the pots were quite noisy. Much worse than before I cleaned them.
