This 17 inch monitor turns on and has HV but the screen is completely black
for about 5 minutes.  Gradually, it brigthens up but the images look out of
convergence [?] - blurred, colors off, unreadable.
After about 30 minutes the picture is superb.  OSD works fine.

I got this monitor 2nd hand. It is not very bright. I've tried all of the
controls on the front. I have not opened the unit. I did download the
schematic. It seems everything is controlled by a computer. Is there
software that is needed to adjust this monitor? What's it called? ...

I'm trying to fix a set of Monsoon MH-505 computer speakers. These have
a subwoofer and 5 satellite speakers. The problem is that when you power
it up the subwoofer's cone pulls all the way in and you get a fairly
loud hum from it. The other speakers do seem to work, albeit not ...

I have a Sony KV-32S42 TV that won't turn on anymore.  I tried both the
remote and the power button on the set and all that happens is the red

I am looking for a good cheap source for generic EL panels for
some older equipment retrofit. Has anyone done EL panel replacement? Can
you just cut them down without damaging them?
How critical is the voltage range to drive them?

I have a couple of circuit boards that I want to repair.  They are two
versions of the same thing, although one is slightly newer by maybe a year.
There are some diodes that are toast although there is enough left to read
the markings.

unit works fine until warm then screen gets too bright with retrace lines
... can turn down screen voltage all the way but when its cold then its too
dark ...repair tips say c5002 , and c5004 on crt board  .... tuner grounds
have been done before , still holding ... any help would ...

I'm hoping someone has seen this problem...
Both channels pass dc voltage to speaker relay, thus keeping unit in protect
mode.
One channel was passing +43vdc, the other -43vdc.
