Problem with vertical sweep on Toshiba CF2665K TV Set20 Nov 2004 05:08 GMT9
I have  aToshiba CF2665K that is experiencing vertical sweep problem (about
half the vertical picture with retrace lines).
This has been worsening slowly, and I'm pretty sure it's a defective
capacitor somewhere in the vertical circuitry.

Help with electric guitar pots problems? 20 Nov 2004 01:46 GMT1
The guitar has two volumes, two tone dials and one three-way toggle switch.
The toggle switch and dials look like the ones on this guitar:

The volume on my guitar cuts off after I go below 5 on the bottom volume
GFCI trips during rain19 Nov 2004 21:07 GMT7
I'm curious as to why my GFCI is tripping when it rains. It doesn't happen
during brief showers, but if the rain is for a few hours or more, the outlet
will shut off. At least that is the way it happened the two times I was home
when it happened.
Diode Cross19 Nov 2004 20:38 GMT1
Anyone suggest a cross for a SUF30J diode that might be a little
easier to find (maybe an NTE equiv)?  It's an "ultra fast" plastic
rectifier, 600v 3A.  It doesn't seem to be readily available from
common sources (small quanity).  It's out of 17" monitor power supply.
Sharp microwave oven problem19 Nov 2004 19:39 GMT11
My Sharp convection microwave (model R-9H66) trips the circuit breaker
everytime it's turned on.  It started doing this after its door was slammed
shut  by someone.   It's obviously shorting somewhere when turned on, and I
took the outer housing off to look at the wiring to see if ...

CTC197: no audio19 Nov 2004 09:21 GMT6
I have two RCA CTC197 sets with the complaint of no audio.  The first
one seemed fine, but I resoldered the audio and tuner areas just to be
safe.  It came back with the same complaint.  I've had both sets
running all day for a week with no trouble (both tuner and A/V
Hitach TV Repair19 Nov 2004 08:46 GMT2
Hi, I have a Hitach tv model C28W510TN (A7 chassis)which is blasting
zd970 (PGK180)overvolts Zener 5 seconds after switching on.  I have
checked for dry joints(cold solder) around RV950 and R950 as suggested
else where.  I also found that ZD950(10v zener) was open circuit.
Power Amp Input Level19 Nov 2004 06:44 GMT4
I have a Dynaco 410 power amp that I just fixed. Does anyone have a
suggestion as to how to hook this to an integrated amplifier that
doesn't have a "preamp out".
I figure to attenuate the "speaker B" outputs so that the amplifier
