my son has a PS2, version 4, I think, (eight screws in the bottom). It

Television Vibration30 Nov 2004 21:21 GMT4
I have an older (10-15 years) Magnavox 19" color TV that is serving me
well.  Recently, however, it has developed a sort of nervous tic.
Something within it is vibrating enough that it produces a noticeable
buzzing noise.  If I put a dictionary on top of it, the housing is

sound.  All my other peripherals work.  I just get nothing over the
Toshiba Satellite S300CDS PSU failure30 Nov 2004 20:13 GMT2
The little PSU brick for my old Toshiba Satellite S300CDS laptop just

Has anyone any experience of these and know of any common failures?
Checked the usual stuff - fuse is ok, bridge is ok, chopper transistor
On-screen display problem for Sharp 32" TV30 Nov 2004 18:33 GMT1
I just bought a used Sharp 32" TV (32N-S350, made in 2000) from an
individual.  The image is very good, better than my new 32" Panasonic
which I'm going to return if I can solve a problem with the Sharp
on-screen display.

ESR30 Nov 2004 06:53 GMT3
I was wondering when checking a cap for ESR, how do you determine good
or bad? Do different type caps have different acceptable ESR limits?
Should all caps have infinite ESR? I am still a beginner in repair.
Also I am purchasing a sencore LC101 that will test for ESR. Any help

Mitsubishi WS55859 HDTV30 Nov 2004 03:48 GMT13
My Mitsubishi has a series of black dots spaced at regular intervals

Does anyone know of where I can find this manual.  I found a site that was
