causes of TV shadow mask damage 24 Aug 2004 00:47 GMT7
I have recently purchased a Sharp SX76NF100 76 cm pure flat screen TV. This
TV has been refurbished by Sharp but it came with 12 months warranty. The
visible damages are on the cabinet (outer casing of the TV). These are long
scatches but they do not extend onto the screen itself.
Bosch Frost Free FridgeFreezer23 Aug 2004 23:06 GMT1
Have just read a previous thread about the above and have a problem
which doesn't quite fit in to the same (I think).  My 1 year old
fridgefreezer appears to be working 100% OK BUT there is a huge sheet
of ice at the bottom of the freezer infront of the bottom basket,
Fixing an old electronic organ23 Aug 2004 22:45 GMT6

I hoped someone could help a novice with this repair.  I recently bought an

Few weeks ago it started to sound high pitch noise after warming up for few
hours. After being off completely for a week (we went on vacation), it would

HP P1110 Monitor Problem23 Aug 2004 13:52 GMT3
Hi, all. I have an HP P1110 21" monitor with a weird high-voltage
problem. Turn it on, great pic. After about 30 seconds, it blooms and
gets very out of focus, then the neon flashover lamp near the flyback
arcs over, there's a loud pop, and the pic disappears. A second later,
Sony KV 32S36 Vertical Line then to a point suggestions?23 Aug 2004 10:55 GMT1

two power switching transistors on the power board.
TECHNICS Stereo Amp Problem23 Aug 2004 09:55 GMT1
Have a model SU-G91PP-K,  Stereo amplifier in shop.  Has two
1/4 watt resistors burnt up in the blower fan circuit sector.  Since
I don't have the schem. for this, can anyone advise what the values
of Bd. Location: R659 and R780 should be?
Magnavox RH8524 Blue shifted left23 Aug 2004 07:14 GMT9
The blue picture has shifted left on my old projection TV.  At one point,
this only occured when the TV was cold and would clear up.  I can test
components and replace them however the actual circuitry doesn't make sense
to me.
JVC C-14E1EK - Open Circuit Resistor23 Aug 2004 06:17 GMT1
Can someone be nice and tell me the value of R323 in this TV? (Its a 2W
sized resistor that feeds one of the LT supplies).
The one fitted as failed O/C and I'm unsure as to the correct value - at
first sight the colours read as Brown - Grey - Brown; but then if the other

Heathkit SW-717 receiver23 Aug 2004 02:44 GMT2
Hi, everyone,

reception on BC bands but low sensitivity.  I put a few low level sig.
Possible bad resistor?23 Aug 2004 02:27 GMT4
I'm currently working on an old open reel tape deck (realistic 909)
and having problems with one of the channels.  The left channel is
very quiet unless it is turned up all the way, even then it's only
putting out about ~.2V at full volume, compared to the right at ~2V
