Panasonic CT32d3204 Aug 2004 16:58 GMT19
I have a Panasonic CT32d32.  When I turn on my TV I see a grey screen
with multiple horizonal lines.  Sound is good but there is no picture.
The good people @ Circuit City have told me I need a new Video Card @
$350.  However, I cannot locate that part at Panasonic's website.

I don't service as many Sony TVs as other brands, but I can't remember the
last time I had to replace a FBT in a Sony TV.  This set apparenty has a bad
FBT based on tests I performed and using a scope (ringing) with a loop around
the FBT core.  The V reg (+135V) is good using a ...
KV36XBR400 dead04 Aug 2004 11:14 GMT1
Someone wants me to look at their Sony KV36XBR400 which failed and now only
makes a click and degauss sound when turned on. Obviously a power supply
problem, is this something that's common for that set? I'd like to have an
idea of what I'm in for before I go over there and tear ...
Controller Repair04 Aug 2004 06:29 GMT2
I have a couple of older controllers, which no longer have the satisfying
click when pressed. I read a tip on-line about a year ago that explained a
simple technique for restoring the "click" to the rubber pads under
controller buttons. It stated a specific substance to use, which I ...
Aiwa CXNMT90 CD Player Read Problems04 Aug 2004 04:42 GMT6
I've been reading about problems with Aiwa CD players and I was hoping
if anyone could offer any advice for my situation.  I have an Aiwa
CXNMT90 system whose CD player will attempt to read a CD where the
head will spin the disc several times and eventually give up after a
Pioneer SDP5073 remote not working04 Aug 2004 03:47 GMT3
I think this is the last of a long list of problems this set had. Remote
itself is fine, works with a P5075, remote sensor seems to be good as well,
I measure a voltage change at the main board where the front panel plugs in
when any button on the remote is pressed. No response from ...

Buzzing flyback03 Aug 2004 16:14 GMT11
Leading Edge (Daewoo) 14-inch monitor.  Works fine but there is a buzzing or
steady arcing sound, apparently from the flyback transformer area.  Is this
a failing flyback or something else?  I am familiar with high voltage
precautions but haven't been keeping up with monitor repair. ...
Fringe TV reception - Magnavox CCR09503 Aug 2004 15:47 GMT1
I'm using a portable DC TV (Magnavox CCR095) on my boat in marginal TV areas
(low signal). Can the auto-blanking in the RF front end be disabled to allow
for marginal reception? Weak stations go from "watchable" to "blue screen"
over and over. Is there a threshold pot in the tuner ...

problem? universal remote works, but only half of the functions.
Philips "Sound Enhancer IS 5021 help please03 Aug 2004 12:30 GMT3
I've got a Philips "Sound Enhancer" IS 5021 from around 1994 or 1995 in
for service. It is an A-D and D-A converter that Philips does not
acknowledge the existence of.  There is an external power supply based
on a MC34166T IC.  The supply has an open fuse made by Wikman (sp?)
