I know this is a bit of a long shot but...
Does anybody know of a modification that will allow this unit (TMA28WU) to
run from straight 12V dc and not through a separate power supply via the
output connector?

My RCA TV appears to have "lost" some channels.
Most channels are OK.  Cable Channels 48, 49, 50 are wiped out.
Channel 65/66 experiences intereference from over the air channel 14..
Other channels that I know I should get seem to be ok, including those

I have had 2 motherboards, 3 hard drives, 1 cd writer, one dvd writer

I've got a Toshiba SD-1200 DVD player which won't spin up when you
