My Weller w100 is dead. I opened it and everything looks "ok". My

does NOT have a an idler?  Also, is it possible for a VCR to eat tapes because

I got a 2235 scope off of eBay.  It was supposed to be in mint
condition, but when it arrived it had a trace problem.  The trace gets
dimmer as it sweeps from left to right.  The focus adjustment in one
direction seems normal, but in the other direction it makes the right

I'm having to check several circuits with many capacitors in them.
I have heard of using the following tools:
1. capacitor testor - for out of circuit tests (measure leakage &
capacitance)

Remote is a universal RCA a few years old.  First few months I owned
it - fine.  Then, intermittently, it would stop operating the TV set.
I even had it programmed to operate a 2001 model Philips VCR we bought
new back then.  That quit responding to this rc completely after about

I have some old TV, and it works fine. Only recently I discovered that
voltage between shield of composite input and gnd of device being
connected is about 130 Volts DC!!!!! Its about 80V when voltmeter is
set to AC.

I got a heavy used logicanalyzer with color CRT & touchscreen. But
unfortunately the screen is very dim. Even with cloudy daylight I have

Have a Mits. model VS60VX2 in shop with some burnt and blown up
resistors and need help to ID them please.

Power supply on my SV-5000W beaks down when I leave it on for long
time. It happend already two times.(Approximately every 2 years). Does
any one have schematics or knows what part needs to be replaced? VCR
is essentially dead no lights and strong smell of something burnt
