I am looking for help with a Toshiba 30" TV, model CF3072B. The problem is
with the top 10% of the picture. It has white lines across the first 40 -50
lines. I believe that one or more of the capacitors in the vertical or
horizontal circuit is bad. I'm hoping someone out there has ...

I've recently acquired one of these amps and it has almost been
working.. It will often go for a few minutes and then the protection
relay will cut out, although sometimes it doesn't cut in to start
with. I have traced it through to the protection circuit kicking in

I am looking for perhaps a fix for  this problem: Set runs well then after
it warms up  the vertical pulls in from top and bottom and the viseo goes
out completely with no audio either.  Has anyone seen this problem?

Is there a way to feed composite video in an old B/W pc monitor?
This for use on a security system (the person asking has 4 of those
very neat small monitors used on checkout systems.)

oh lordy lordy am I in trouble.  My 32" Sony TV (model KV-27V15 circa

Is there a "hidden" set up menu for this TV? I know about the set up
menu from the remote control but other messages for other TVs mention
setup menus supposedly only used by technicians. Can anyone tell me the
routine to access such a menu for this set?

I have a Sony Trinitron XBR, probably over 10 years old. The sound is
great. The picture is okay too, when it finally comes on anyway. That
leads me to the problem. When I turn on the set, the volume comes on
immediately, but it takes a good two minutes for the picture to come

This GR-DVL125 came in with no backlighting for the LCD.
Found open SMD on inverter board. It was burned
so I couldn't tell if it was a resistor or a protector.

I recently pulled a suspected bad horizontal output transistor.
Checked it with a transistor tester and it checked good. Then I
checked it with a DMM, and I show the same low resistance between the
emitter and base, both directions. I figure the transistor should be

I am currently working on a Hitachi 42" plasma that displays the
following problem:
1. The screen is divided in the middle, and left side of the screen
displays some lines and colors, while the right side is black.

Suddenly my Blaupunkt VCR RTV-635 stopt producing video!
The strange thing is that when i play at double speed there is a picture!
Not 100% but there is a picture. Also when i play in slo-mo there is an
image.
