magneto question03 Jul 2004 10:28 GMT25
Have a Kohler K161 -RT 7 HP, Horizontal shaft with no spark. The
condenser seams OK to a volt meter test, but not sure about the HV
capability, and looks fairly new. The points look like new, and act
like a switch to a DVM. They are also clean, and not pitted.
Microwave mains tranny - lams welded?03 Jul 2004 07:50 GMT5
Hello, all.
I was just wondering if it's usually the case that the laminations of the

Question on Toshiba 20AF4403 Jul 2004 04:42 GMT1
Many, including Jerry, Andy, and others, have given me some pointers on
a new 20 inch analog TV purchase.  I'm used to a circa 1986 Sony KV-
20XBR which I consider an excellent TV overall.  It doesn't have any of
the bells and whistles that the newer TV's do have, but its build

I have a Toshiba CF32C50 with a sound problem that from what I can determine
seems to be a problem with the Sony SBX1637 module.  I have been trying to
find the part on line, but the only source I have found has a $25 minimum
and this is only a $7 part.  Does anyone have another ...
Monitor diagram needed03 Jul 2004 04:10 GMT6
I have an IBM G70 monitor that has gone dark.  It still has high voltage and
the CRT lights.  So I think the trouble is in the logic circuitry or the
power supply.
When I switch it on I hear the degaussing surge.  But when I press the
Is it Common for the "Tuner" to go out in Radios?03 Jul 2004 02:35 GMT1
I have two radios, one that was in my boat, and one that came in my car,
they both seemed to just stop working.  The "tuner" for the radio I mean.
All I would get was fuzz, even with the antenna fully plugged in. I don't
understand why it does this.. I did nothing to either piece ...

RCA CTC203 squeals03 Jul 2004 00:36 GMT3
This set squeals when plugged in. The HOT is shorted. Is this the case
of where the small coil near the heat sink needs to be removed scraped
and reinstalled with the new HOT? Is there anything else that I should
look for before powering the set up? Also the area of the board right

Can I fix it by throwing some dilithium crystals in there after removing the
tribble ? , or is it time to put phasers on kill to the TV set , and just

all despite having been thoroughly disassembled and cleaned. I can find

Is there a way to adjust how much gain this TV's video input jacks have?
When the television is running on either of the two video inputs (fed by a
