Good day,gentlemen (and ladies).
My own DVD player Samsung DVD P-231 went belly up.
It still plays nicely regular music CDs, but fails
on DVD and MP3 disks with "No disk" error.

Don't laugh too hard.  This is a 486-33 system whose CMOS backup battery
has died.  Surprise, surprise.  Does anyone know how to run Setup?  Is a
Setup program required?  For that matter, who ever heard of a Memorex PC?
It's not mine, just asking for a friend. :)

Found Technics amp/receiver and took it in . Upon power up it goes into thermal
protect with speakers on or not. Even with headphones it goes thermal. Is there
a way to locate the controlling part and eliminate it ?

Hi , I m looking to check this transistor that seems to be the problem of my
RCA Model F26103CG .
Havin a bright screen with retrace lines. It s a CTC149 chassis.
Can somebody helping me finding this transistor . Is it near U1001 ?

I intend to repair a car audio power amplifier.  This will become a
great job since a lot of problems exist.  First some power stages are
completely shorted (on load the device takes a current above 30A) and

     In my shop is a Panasonic 32"  TV CT-32G4A, ch FP331
which went out (was turned on) during a storm (customer
said).   Fuse is ok,  I checked some parts (ok), but I do not
have a SM.  Did you fix a storm damged TV like this model?

I have another nice piece of equipment that is very close to the
trash...  but i'd like to fix it just for not having to send it to the

I have this nice KDS model VS190i and when my pc decide to go to sleep,
well... the monitor want to go party!
Humm... the monitor seems not to be able to detect that the video card
in in sleep mode.  It decide to emit a little buzzing sound( I suppose

Here's one plausible theory:  Over time, black level and white level
acquired their nomenclature because of the effect adjusting them had
on viewers' pictures.  IE:  "Hon, could you make the picture a little
*brighter*?"

I've got a Toshiba CX29801 28" television and I also have the 21" version of
the same TV and they both have the same problem. The vertical deflection is
shrunk, only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen comes on and the picture is full
of what looks like thick scan lines. On the 21" TV I ...
