This scanner has started to produce a streak the length of the scan, but
only in colour. B/W scans are clean.

I have an old (1997) SVGA computer monitor (labled FIG S567) which gets
blurry once it's warmed up. I feel the tube is still good because when cold
the picture is reasonably sharp.

I've resoldered all the ringed & cold solder joints that I could find &
also replaced a few vertical caps but still have the same symptoms. Any
tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Sony model KV27V22, will not power up upon inspection I
noticed cap C613 on the Power Supply Module was burnt out, I found out
it was a 1000pf cap and replaced it, it still will not power up,
nothing else is visually wrong, Any pointers what else I could check..

I've lostthe manual to this model tv.   It seems the "tamper
proof"mode is locked inand I can't unlock it. The redlight on the tv
just blinks..

Found this 2SA1608 (body marked YL3) transistor leaky in the LCD panel
for the -V DC-DC converter is required for the biasing LCD to proper
contrast.  LCD's fault is washed out image but barely can see the
images.  CCL light is working.

I have an UPS that has a good battery but refuses to work at all.  It
is BC PERS200 (200VA or 125W) and I often use it with my laptop during
power failure to stay in touch.
Anyway it just up and died one day.  I checked, the battery is still
