Quick recap - the fault was complete absence of operation.
Someone - I forget who, sorry - suggested the plastic moulding behind
the display had broken.
On investigation, I find that was exactly what had happened - a quick

Can anyone tell me how to clear the V-chip channel lock on a JVC AV20220 TV?
I do not have the orig. remote, have tried a couple of universals but have
not been able to get one to operate the tv. Wondering if it's because the
channel lock is on why the universal won't work?

Hd og cd spinning up, but no light in monitor (internal and external) the
sleepy LED is on always (the half moon icon)

Hi, all. I have an HP P1110 21" computer monitor here with what looks
like a high voltage problem. Model number is D2847. NDP Chassis 445N.
(That's what it says on the back.)
When first turned on, it looks great. After about 30 seconds, it starts

This ITC008 chassis tries to power on (degauss relay clicks, power LED
illuminates) in a continuing cycle after powering off the set.  The
set works fine except for this small problem!  Has anyone had this or
any similar problem with these chassis'?  Thanks

I have cleaned up a PCB board with Isopropyl alcohol and it has left
terrible amount of residue on the board white chalky/powdery deposits) a
problem I have not had with Isopropyl before.

I have a 3 yr old rca 25" tv,for the past two days  when i turn it on takes at
least 5 minutes to see a picture but the sound comes right on.Works fine
otherwise,any ideas what it might be?im gonna have it looked at but was

I have 20" phillip color TV and remote control.
The remote control did not work for 2 weeks and now it works again.
I took the remote control to TV repair shop and I've found out
that the remote control is no problem. I thought the problem in on

I get no display but there appears to be high voltage present.

G'Day .....
I have a dodgy 17" CTX 1765 Monitor that no seems to be able to fix.
Monitor has a 15 pin D connection as well as RGBHS, fault occurs using both
inputs. On startup, degauss makes every other monitor jump, and runs fine.

I have a Sony 27" TV. Wood cabinet, stereo or ? cabinet below etc...
It HAD a perfect picture and sound etc. Then made a fizzzzz noise and
turned off and won't come on again. I can't see anything fried and have been
told that two power transistors are the usual cause.
