 I've got three non-working Vivitar 560D flashes that I want to try to
repair..  What are the most likely components to fail (it looks like
there're at least 6 capcitors in it).  Is it possible to test components
in-circuit without removing them (I generally thought it not)?

My 17" SONY 200GS has a startup-when-hot problem.
Switching on the monitor, a first and a stronger second relay "click"
can be heard if the "startup" sequence is normal and the monitor start
to work.

Does anybody know what the differences
are between these two .Both are used by
RCA and are quite diffent in price.

What is the procedure for resetting the microcontroller in a Teac AD-600 cd
player.  I have 2 of them that came into the shop last week.  The units do

Hi all - I have a real nice late 70s era Toshiba receiver that has a
problem.
It started out with a noisy right channel, sort of a crackling sound every

The other night I was watching my Zenith 27" TV (SL2773W), when it
started flashing green.  The picture disapeared for a moment and then
reappeared, but now everything looks darker, mor of a purple-red tint.

I'm still getting into electronic repairs.  I'm learning, but the lack of
formal instruction makes things a little bumpy sometimes.
Anyways, I've decided that it's time to buck up for an ESR meter.  Casually
searching, I've found the two following URLs:

I've dug up my old digital multimeter.  The display is very weak, can barely

This amp is 12 or 13 years old. I have noticed that the highs and
