WHERE'S MY f.cking GLEN HOUSTON TAPE?

A friend of mine has an old oven that is taking about an hour to heat up to
the proper temperature.    Before they shell out for a new range, is there
something that a repair novice can check and service?

As an occasional home user, it's not worth it for me to pay to calibrate
my 465B, but it would be nice to know that it's accurate.
eBay often has calibrators listed, but they're presumably just as
suspect as any old scope.

I have a couple of directv remotes that use a conductive rubber pad and it
takes a ton of pressure to get it to switch.
I was wondering if I could use some sort of conductive paint or something
that would work on the rubber pads?

I have a Toshiba SD-V290 DVD/VCR Combo. Does anyone have a Macrovision
hack for this player? I would like to make VHS back-up's of existing

The scope looks good and I know the previous owner had no problems with
it.  So it was shipped FedX from AZ to NM and arrived with one of the cord
winding feet broken (the one closest to the power supply). It was packed
well but must have taken a good jolt.

I am repairing a sharp XG-E850U movie/computer LCD projector.

(TCE 2G25027) is good enough for a cross reference. The only info I can find is
an RCA number 215540. Is it correct? Should I go directly to Thomson for the

I have a BT paperjet 55 fax machine that appears to have a constant open
line. I have read the manual and tried the support line in it but this line
is no longer available.
I have found a service section on the machine but it requires a password.

I have some problems with this stereo systems:
at the CX-80 the displays of tuner and equalizer most time don't work and
at both systems the tape decks stop playing sporadically or it stops after
pressing the play button.
