Testing a Dual Output DC-DC Converter?01 Oct 2003 00:54 GMT3
To get a dual output DC-DC converter to start, do both outputs need to
have a load? If it does, both loads would use the common reference
'ground' correct?
I read the repair FAQ on SMPS testing, but didn't notice anything

  I have an RCA F19424,  CTC203U5 (19" pic) in my shop.  The set
had a black screen (no HV) and sound was present.  Customer said
picture would go black and he would hit the TV to bring it back.  I
tried virbration, flexing PCB, probing parts, etc. but that had no effect.   I

I'm considering buying a record player from a 2nd hand shop. The
problem with it is it must have been from an integrated hifi system
and only has a 6-wire connector (no phono jacks or ac plug).
I would guess the 6 wires would be:

My TV started intermittently vertically collapsing on me. I would hit
the side of the set, and the picture would come back up. Now it is
collapsed all the time. After doing a little bit of research on the
internet, I am thinking I probably have a Cold Solder somewhere, most
