To get a dual output DC-DC converter to start, do both outputs need to
have a load? If it does, both loads would use the common reference
'ground' correct?
I read the repair FAQ on SMPS testing, but didn't notice anything

  I have an RCA F19424,  CTC203U5 (19" pic) in my shop.  The set
had a black screen (no HV) and sound was present.  Customer said
picture would go black and he would hit the TV to bring it back.  I
tried virbration, flexing PCB, probing parts, etc. but that had no effect.   I

Looking to notch out a 400HZ whine from some audio circuits connecting
remote manned sites to a central location.
The audio is microwaved from remote location to the central location.

I'm considering buying a record player from a 2nd hand shop. The
problem with it is it must have been from an integrated hifi system
and only has a 6-wire connector (no phono jacks or ac plug).
I would guess the 6 wires would be:

any remaining supply of the S53AMI amp modules for JBL subwoofers?
Or has anyone had any luck opening the metal case and repairing it?

I need a cable or wiring insructions, if possible, to adapt a 9 pin serial
computer port to an RS232 type male connector.  The cable is needed for an
automotive diagnostic tool I have and is used for loading software updates
from my computer to the tool.  The mfr. wants $55.30 for ...

the local news gave a hint of the problem, "...software upgrade...low

I have tried the usual Hit mute on remote then again and holed then
hit the menu on the tv.Should get an S on the screen. I get this

My TV started intermittently vertically collapsing on me. I would hit
the side of the set, and the picture would come back up. Now it is
