| Terminologies used in oscilloscope performance testing/calibration | 27 Feb 2008 19:42 GMT | 2 |
I was wondering if anyone can help me either via explanation or by referring me to a proper site to understand more about this issue : 1. What is the difference between the term frequency response and bandwidth in term of testing/calibration oscilloscopes?

| Thanks for the oscilloscope help | 27 Feb 2008 01:10 GMT | 1 |
Thanks to all those who helped with the oscilloscope problem. The solution was to repair my Gould OS4100. The new Tektronix (only $800 new) didn't have the recording length for resolving the waveform detail.

| car video cam | 26 Feb 2008 02:47 GMT | 1 |
I'm interested in finding an affordable car video cam like the police have in their cars now. Just video (I think video and sound both may not be legal). One that is stand alone (no computer required in the car), and can

| seeking schematics or plans to build a stereo analog volume meter (to plug into pc speaker headphone jack) | 26 Feb 2008 01:53 GMT | 11 |
I would like to build an analog volume meter (moving needle type) using moving needle gauges like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:VU_Meter.jpg scavenged from a dead mixer's VU meter.

| Labview e Network Analyzer HP3577A | 21 Feb 2008 01:24 GMT | 2 |
I want to dump the spectra taken by a Network Analyzer HP3577A into a PC using a GPIB interface. I'd like to do it with labview. I found some labview drivers on the web but no one works. I have been working on this problem for days but I do not manage to find any satisfactory ...

| Analog & Digital scope reads of Lown wave | 20 Feb 2008 18:01 GMT | 17 |
I am attempting to capture the Lown wave form generated by a defibrilator analyzer. This frequency of this wave length is approximately 200 Hz in length. To do this I have been discharging the defib through a defibrilator analyzer. The analyzer has an output

| Probe Adaptors for HP 1631D logic analyzer (or Probes 10271A / 10272A)? | 20 Feb 2008 03:05 GMT | 4 |
I bought a HP 1631D logic analyzer and realized that they do not come with the ribbon cable/header for the probes' connector. The model number for the probes 10271A, 10272A and they are both 11-pins. Does any body know what are the model numbers of those connectors/adaptors

| Signal generator with distorted wave shapes | 18 Feb 2008 22:54 GMT | 6 |
I have a R&S APN 62 signal generator (1 Hz - 260 kHz) displaying a strange behavior-- it generates distorted wave shapes at "high" frequencies. At low frequencies all the wave shapes are ok but starting from a few decades of kHz sawtooth and triangular signals are more and more ...

| Scope "trace" vs. "channel" question | 17 Feb 2008 05:58 GMT | 4 |
Can a scope display more "traces" than "channels"? My very basic understanding is that a "channel" is what has a physical input connector and a "trace" is what appears on the screen. My confusion is about "4 trace, 2 channel" scopes. To me this implies some kind of special ...

| HP 54200A EPROM dumps needed | 16 Feb 2008 21:12 GMT | 3 |
my HP 54200A left me. It dumps lots of &&&&& on the screen, no beep, no keyboard actions, no obvious hardware damage. I suppose that the contents of the EPROMs have partially disappeared after 23 yrs. Lots of FFs between binary and text code, quite unusual
